Defend a two-page (double-spaced) thesis on the following topic:
Is free will/moral responsibility compatible or incompatible with determinism?
Your essay will be graded based on its:
Accuracy (does it recreate the positions/author(s) view accurately?)
Clarity (is the writing clear/easy to understand?)
Depth of analysis (does it engage with the relevant text(s)/idea(s)?)
Quality of Defense (how well is the thesis defended?)
Extra credit will be capped at 3 points, or 3% of your overall grade (i.e., a 1/3 of a letter grade).
All essays are due by Friday 3/18 at midnight. No exceptions.
No works cited page necessary, but you should use in text citations (e.g., Frankfurt, 210).
