You have been hired to be the first Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of a new specialty orthopedic hospital. One reason you were hired as the CNO was your experience leading teams to improve patient outcomes. The leadership team has decided to develop the organizational culture of this new hospital around the concepts of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement. One of your first tasks is to work with the marketing department to create a brand that demonstrates the hospital’s organizational culture. You have been asked to assemble an interprofessional team to develop the mission statement, vision statement, and values that will guide the hospital. In addition, you will create signage to communicate them to the public.
