During this course, you will be writing a research paper related to a drug that can be abused or lead to issues with addiction. The final paper is due in Topic 7. Please refer to your syllabus and Topic 7 assignment to find out the final paper requirements and what will be graded in the rubric. For this assignment, select any drug that you have an interest in researching such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, opiates, or methamphetamine. In your assignment, you will research the drug, provide brief examples as to the history and regulations of this drug, and describe the current social problems faced by society due to the drug.
Write a brief (100 to 200 words) description of the drug you selected, why you have chosen this drug, and why it interests you. Submit your description and selected drug to your instructor for approval.
