John: Yes great. Look, lets end this meeting on a good note. I can confirm we have successfully opened up a branch in Penrith now, this is our third location with warehouses with offices located above in Parramatta and our Head Office situated in Liverpool. The new branch indicates we are doing well. Profits are up by 20% and we are on track to meet our yearly growth goals and receive bonuses for team leaders who do so.
That reminds me. Sarah is also going to look at planning strategic HR for our future growth opportunities. She will be bringing a report to our next meeting on what jobs are likely to be automated over the next 10 years and what new roles or types of employment might likely be in the industry and any opportunities this might bring for us. She will send this out and I want everyone reading it before they attend with some ideas on how this will impact our organisation.
Hanna: oh right, this is what I was going to say earlier about the dock issues! Peter Nelson is also returning to work. You guys remember he was off work for 9 months over that back injury he got working on the machinery on the dock? He is now heading up the new branch because his injury meant he could not return to his previous role. He is in a wheel chair now but recovering well and should be able to lose the chair over the next 6 months. We have set up some specialised equipment for him. That’s one of the reasons Sarah we needed to redo training on the machinery too. We don’t want any more injuries!
Okay let’s wrap this up. Maddison, can you make sure that you type up minutes for this meeting and email them out to me and cc: all members as well as Sarah? Ensure you outline the actions in the email i want the final copy going out within 72 hours. We will meet again in one month at 4pm. Its about 12.30. Let’s have lunch
