My advice as you begin working on the Topic 7 paper
For the first paper, I provided a template with guidance on how to develop the argument and suggestions for additional sources. For the second paper, I provided an outline. For this paper, I will provide you with an outline to use as I assume you read the materials that I provided for the first and second papers and know how to format a 7th edition style paper.
Use the outlined below. Each theme should be supported by at least 3 empirical sources. In addition to using the appropriate required readings, this assignment requires that at least two additional scholarly research sources related to this topic. You can use the sources listed in the weekly lecture notes or find relevant empirical sources yourself. DO NOT USE WEBSITES, popular books, encyclopedia entries, or other non-empirical sources in your paper.

Introduction (heading will be the title of the paper)
In the introduction, provide context for the topic. B. F. Skinner built on the classic behavioristic principles to develop his theory on human behavior. His theory has since been expanded and applied in many practical areas. This assignment focuses on Skinner’s legacy by examining contemporary applications of his ideas of reinforcement learning. Be sure that you use a purpose statement and a thesis statement.
Reinforcement Learning (1st level headings should be centered and bold)
Use a topic sentence that connects the theme to the paper topic. Define reinforcement learning, provide context for what introspection is and why it is important to psychology. This section needs support from 3 empirical sources. This should be a general overview of reinforcement learning and should demonstrate your understanding of the basic concepts of behaviorism. This should be the shortest theme in the paper. Include a transition sentence to move the readers from theme 1 to theme 2.
Application of Reinforcement Learning in Education.
Use a topic sentence that connects the theme to the paper topic. Discuss the modern-day applications of reinforcement learning in the field of education. Discuss at least 2 techniques. Some examples include behavior modification, classroom reward structure, and differential reinforcement. Explain how these techniques are used in classrooms and why they are important. This section needs support from 3 empirical sources. Include a transition sentence that moves the reader from Theme 2 to Theme 3. What is the connection between the themes?

Use a topic sentence that connects the theme to the paper topic. Discuss the modern-day applications of reinforcement learning in the field of behavior therapy. Discuss at least 2 techniques. Some examples include Applied Behavior Analysis, Habit Reversal Training, Parent-child Interaction theory. Explain how these techniques are used in behavior therapy and why they are important. This section needs support from 3 empirical sources.
Conclusion
The statement of conclusion should reflect your thesis statement. Summarize the three key points from your three themes. Discuss the most relevant attributes of these concepts as they relate to modern psychology. Finish with any conclusions that can be drawn from your discussion.
