Discuss how new theoretical perspectives have shifted (added to) the methodological approaches taken by researchers examining the gendered effects off crime and victimization. Within your discussion, compare and contrast the qualitative studies (e.g. Miller, 2012; Gumby and Beynon, 2012) on victimization to those who utilize more traditional quantitative methods. What major differences (or similarities) do we see in how the data is collected, variables are created, and the analysis is interpreted?
