11 Research Proposal

Proposed Title

How the pandemic has impacted the workplace transformation on H&M

Section One: Title, objective, responsibilities

The research project’s title or working title (in the form of a question, objective, or hypothesis)

The purpose of this study is to examine how the pandemic has impacted the workplace transformation on H&M.

Research aim: To determine impact of covid 19 pandemic on organizational digital transformation.

The following are the study’s primary objectives:

To determine the role of digital workplace transformation within business environment of H&M.

To analyze the impact of workplace transformation due to covid 19 pandemic on H&M working environment.

To examine the issues faced at a time of using digital workplace transformation within H&M working environment.

Objectives of the research (e.g., what is the question you wish to answer? What do you wish to learn? What are you attempting to determine?)

Research questions:

What is the role of digital workplace transformation within business environment of H&M?

What is the impact of workplace transformation due to covid 19 pandemic on H&M working environment?

What are the issues faced at a time of using digital workplace transformation within H&M working environment?

Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project

Justifications for selecting the project (e.g., connections to other areas being studied, personal interest, future goals, knowledge/skills you wish to develop, and why the topic is important)

The reason for selecting this project is that workplace transformation is critical for the organization, as it contributes to both organizational and employee productivity (Guerrero, and Urbano, 2021).

Additionally, it Helps researchers in improving their numerous talents, such as research and communication. These will come into in when time is to look for work in the future.

Section Three: Literature sources searched

Utilization of major sources of literature to support your study question, aim, or hypothesis

The digital workplace transformation’s role in H&M’s business environment.

According to H&M, (2021) workplace transformation is a process of improving the workforce’s skills, tools, and capacities that enables the company’s strategy to remain dynamic.

It Helps in the acceptance of the new normal and the evolution of the digital workplace because of the worldwide pandemic.

Digital workplace transformation is critical for an organization’s success since it contributes to the growth of the organization’s culture and maximize employee potential.

Digital workplace transformation is critical for an organization’s success since it contributes to the growth of the organization’s culture and maximize employee potential.

The impact of workplace transformations given about by the covid 19 pandemic on the H&M work environment.

According to Viltz-Emerson, (2021), workplace change is required to improve employee performance and productivity. It will contribute to the growth of an organization’s productivity and profitability. The pandemic of Covid 19 has influenced the organization’s profitability. As a result of H&M’s use of digital services and provision of a flexible work environment for its workers. It will Help in encouraging staff and giving them with adequate time to perform their tasks (Cooke, 2021). It collaborates with employees and encourages communication and creativity in the workplace.

Difficulties with the implementation of digital workplace transformation in the H&M work environment

According to Bhattacharya and Momaya, (2021), several obstacles arise when undertaking workplace change. These are data and security concerns; as businesses have grown more digital, they must safeguard all client data and information. The other issue is productivity—employees are assigned distant tasks, which causes them to become agitated and demotivated. Managers should keep this challenge in mind when they build effective strategies that meet the needs of their organizations and people.

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies

Which strategy and methodology are you most likely to utilise in your study, and why?

What your areas of research will cover:

Research approach:

Two methodologies constitute the research methodology.

These are the deductive and inductive approaches, respectively.

The researchers utilized a deductive technique in this study since it helps in the analysis and Assessment of

quantitative data and information.

It contributes to the accomplishment of research goals and objectives (Al jafa Hasan and Várallyai, 2021).

Research philosophy is composed of 2 ideologies.

These are the positivism and interpretivist philosophies.

The researcher is using positivism philosophy to conduct

this study since it helps in the achievement of the research objective and goal.

This results in the collection and analysis of numerical data, as well as the use of quantitative methods.

Research method: Research method consisting of two types of methods.

These are quantitative and qualitative method. Quantitative method includes numerical information

resisting in making use of survey and graphs. On the other hand, qualitative method is the

method which includes non-numerical information and resulting in getting true information.

In this study, investigator is using quantitative method which helps in collecting data through

questionnaire surveys and includes close ended questions which provides valid and reliable information.

Data collection method: Primary and secondary data collection methods are used.

Primary data is collected through surveys and presents primary information in the form of Gant chart

(Olokundun, Ibidunni and Salau, 2021).

The other example of secondary data is theoretical knowledge, which is derived through the analysis of

various books and journals. The investigator is utilizing both strategies in the present investigation.

Primary data are gathered using questionnaire surveys, which Help in the collection of data and information.

This is accomplished using Gant chart. On the other hand, secondary data is gathered via

the examination of books and newspapers and provided as a literature review. This demonstrates an in-depth

understanding of a particular task.

Sampling is the process of choosing random samples from a large population.

The sample size for this study is 40 H&M employees. This is achieved in two ways.

There are two sampling techniques: probabilistic and non-probabilistic (Jackson, and Dunn-Jensen, 2021).

The researcher is conducting the present investigation utilising random probability sampling, which ensures

that each responder has an equal chance of being selected for the sample.
