Title: Age-Related Challenges and Implications for Social Work Practice: A Critical Examination

Abstract
Older adults are facing several age-related issues and challenges that require a critical examination of their implications for social work practice. This research paper aims to examine the impact of age-related issues and challenges on the older adult population and the future of seniors considering the projected increase in the older adult population. The paper also discusses the implications for social work practice in addressing the identified challenges. Through a comprehensive review of literature, ten academic sources were used to inform the discussion. The findings indicate that older adults are facing several challenges, including social isolation, financial insecurity, elder abuse, and ageism. These challenges have significant implications for social work practice, and social workers must employ a person-centered approach to address the challenges and promote the wellbeing of older adults.
