I feel as though being white is not as meaningful to me. I am aware of white privilege and the unfair benefit it provides however I do not feel a sense of pride for being a member of the white/European race. At times, I am even ashamed of my race due to the brutality against other non-white races. I think it is easier to think of the targeted social identities than it is to think of non-targeted identities, because discrimination is more noticeable.
I disagree with my grand parents about cannabis use. They see it as “being on drugs” instead of noticing that it can actually yield positive effects at the correct dosage and strain. This is somewhat understandable because they didn’t grow up with the same exposure to cannabis we have today.
