Learning Goal: I’m working on a public service multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

1. This week, you performed a “deep dive” into the National Response Framework, National Incident Management System, and CBRNE. For your Unit 3 Complete assignment, write a narrative essay (minimum 1200 words) in which you will address and discuss the questions and statements listed below. Use at least three scholarly sources (including the textbook) and remember to demonstrate a thorough understanding of any external reading assignments, the READ and the ATTEND sections in your essay. You are required to cite your sources in the current APA format.

After reviewing your external reading assignments for the NRF and NIMS, why do we have two separate documents for emergency management purposes? Could these two be merged to avoid confusion and streamline response during an emergency? Why or why not?
The Incident Command System (ICS) brings “organization to chaos” during a disaster or event. How should ICS be implemented and what key Command and General Staff positions should be activated. Defend the positions you have chosen to activate.
How realistic do you think the threat from biological weapons is? Should test labs and samples be kept for research or for weapon delivery systems, if needed? Why or why not? Provide an analysis to the threat(s) posed by nuclear and radiological weapons.
Do you think our local, state, federal, and tribal governments are aware of or prepared for the potential for accidental chemical, biological or radiological exposure in communities? How are they kept aware of the latest threats?
