Required:
A case description for Melbourne Bicycles is available for download from Moodle.
Based on the process description you are required to address the following tasks:
1. BPMN DIAGRAM PREPARATION (20 marks)
Prepare a BPMN diagram that depicts what happens in the bicycle hiring revenue and
cash receipts process. From your diagram it should be clear:
i. WHO is performing the activity
ii. The flow of activities throughout the process
iii. WHEN things occur
iv. Decision points / gateways that are part of the process
2. UML CLASS DIAGRAM PREPARATION AND INTERPRETATION (10 marks)
a. Prepare a UML class diagram for the bicycle hiring process. The diagram should
be set out in an REA format and contain multiplicities.
3. PROCESS ANALYSIS AND CRITIQUE (5 marks)
Based on your analysis of the process, Bill has asked for your opinion on how well the
process protects the cash that is generated. Since he is thinking of hiring some casuals to
handle weekend sales he would like to know that cash is protected from theft and
correctly accounted for.
