1.1: Explain and Compare the two different psychological theories by discussing their similarities and differences

• Out of the four different types of psychological theories choose any two:

• Explain the first psychological theory you have chosen and some information about its key founder.

Tom is three years old. At home he always plays with his sisters and today is his first day at playgroup. His dad takes him and after some nervousness tom eventually goes to the toys, however he picks up a doll and starts playing with it. Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs applied to late adulthood life stage.
Clients at an elderly care home were being given inadequate food, lack of dishes and menu variety. The foods served were fatty, stodgy and that there is a lack of options in the menu. The quantity of food being served was insufficient. This shows that the physiological need of basic nutrition was not being met at the care home. This would lead to the residents falling ill or developing food related disorders and the subsequent levels of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs being affected.

3.1 Analyse the application of psychological theories to individuals experiencing elevated levels of stress

USE CASE STUDY:

3.2 Analyse how psychological theories relate to behaviour disturbance

3.5 Analyse how psychological theories can enhance understanding of relationships in health and social care.

• Briefly discuss the different types of relationships that exist in Health and social care
