In order to be processed, jobs must be loaded onto the machine by a single worker. After they have processed, the worker must unload them before the next job can begin service. Implement this model in SIGMA using interarrivals times Exponentially distributed with mean 8, service times Exponentially distributed with mean 7, and load/unload times Exponentially distributed with mean 1. Run 10 replications of 10,000 time units each. How much time does the worker spend idle? How much time do jobs spend waiting in queue, on average? What is the machine utilization?
