1. Describe a professional nursing organization that you are a member or considering membership.
2. Describe a specialty nursing certification that you might consider.
3. How could the professional nursing organization membership and specialty certification support your own nursing practice?
4. What are the benefits or these scholarly activities?
There will be 1 Discussion Question for each week. You will be responsible for providing an APA referenced initial response (from a peer reviewed journal) to this question, each week, and one response to a peer. A reference from your text may be used, but to receive full credit a journal article must be cited. The guidelines for the initial responses and crossposts are as follows:
Initial Discussion: The initial discussion posting should be concise, yet comprehensive, a minimum of 250 words and should evidence a thorough review of the literature by synthesizing information, but NOT describing each source in detail. In other words learn to read a journal article and paraphrase concisely what you have learned from that journal. The initial response should be based on peer reviewed scholarly journals and textbooks, not websites such as Wikipedia, Google, etc. The initial response should provide two (2) APA formatted scholarly journal references.
