The healthcare system is made up of different parts that work together to take care of everyone’s health needs. Aside from hospitals, it also includes clinics, community health centers, and public health agencies. Care providers, such as doctors, nurses, and other health professionals, are also a part of the health system (Druss & Goldman, 2018). Better access to essential health services, better quality of health services, and more health professionals in low- and middle-income areas could help close gaps in public health care (Druss & Goldman, 2018). One way to make it easier for people to get primary health care is to build more health centers, especially in rural areas. One way to increase access is to help people who can’t pay for health care by giving them money. Healthcare providers need to be taught how to improve the quality of their services. Another way to raise the bar is to give incentives to health care workers to improve quality (World Health Organization [WHO], 2018). Training and mentoring programs for all types of health care workers could help increase the number of health care workers who are available (World Health Organization [WHO], 2018).
