Informative Speech Outline

Over the past few decades, modern society has greatly adapted to the use of new advanced technology. This new technology has played significant roles, creating both positive and negative impacts. One of the positive impacts that the new technology has created on society is through shaping the interactions among society members (Gibbs, 2021). Technological changes have paved the way for the use of social media platforms where people can interact with one another continuously. For example, communications over longer distances can now take place easily through mobile phones compared to how people used to communicate before through letters. Also, people from different parts of the world can communicate with one another and this communication has made the world a global community.
Another impact of the new technology on society is that it has improved the way of living among society members (Gibbs, 2021). With the new features coming with this technology, society members can access better social services without any strain. For example, patients can now access medical services from their homes without the need of travelling to health centers. Another example of an improved social service is where learners can access lessons and other learning materials from homes.
On the other hand, one negative impact as a result of the new technology is the increased criminal activities as a result of the continuous use of computer devices. Most of these criminal activities are crimes involving money and other valuable goods (Gibbs, 2021). Money has become an easy target for these criminals since most of the business transactions are involving soft copy money conveyed on computer devices. A good example is where fraudsters are developing fake soft copy currencies with the aim of deceiving and obtaining valuable assets. Another negative impact of the new technology is that it has created venues where terrorists can communicate and plan their attacks.
