Most of you have discussed in some form that you view it as a huge negative to go against codes of ethics. That is admirable. However, is it realistic to say this in the blind for all situations? Sometimes issues can occur that are conflicting. For example, when COVID was at its peak, nurses were reminded about their responsibility to their patients. However, the code of ethics also stipulates that nurses have a duty to promote their own health and safety. In the situation presented, there could be conflicting interests and obligations on ethics. What are your thoughts?
