Annotated Bibliography Guidelines and Rubric
HS 440

Instructions
This is an individual assignment. You are to complete annotated bibliographies for 5 peer-reviewed qualitative or mixed-methods studies relevant to your research project. Try to identify articles published in high-quality journals within the last 10 years.

Work with your group to find and assign studies so that each team member has different studies. If your team is struggling to find enough studies, you may expand your search criteria to include quantitative studies and/or older studies. (NOTE- all group members must include at least 2 studies with qualitative methods in their bibliography).

Guidelines
Your annotated bibliography must be in paragraph format and include the following:
• A complete and correct APA citation for each source
• A detailed but succinct summary of the study purpose, methods, results, and conclusions
• How the source applies to your team’s research project (this could be key findings that influence your research question or goals, methodology that you might want to include, gaps where you believe your team could improve, etc.)
• Approximately 5 page assignment, double spaced, 12 point font, 1 inch margins
