Stages What to Achieve
• Revised Problem Statement
• Lit. Synthesis Explain how you addressed the feedback on your Stage 1 deliverable. Organize your responses in 2 sections:
• Summary of Major Changes
• Point-by-point response on how Stage 1 comments were addressed
Part 2: Revised Problem Formulation and Research Question (2 pages)
• Revise the problem statement based on the feedback
• Do not retain track changes or comments
• Do not retain the section on “Candidate Scholarly Journals” from your Stage 1
deliverable
Part 3: Literature Synthesis (3 pages)
Present an integrated literature synthesis, covering the following four areas with corresponding sub-headings.
Purpose and Search Process (0.5 pages)
• What is the purpose of your literature synthesis?
• What criteria did you use to define the scope of the relevant literature?
• What search process did you use to select the 8-12 articles to be reviewed?
Coding Articles (0.25 pages, plus appendix)
• What concepts did you employ to code the articles?
• Include a table in an appendix (not part of page count) showing your coding of
the articles.
Discussion of Themes (2 pages)
• What key themes did you discern from the literature synthesis? Describe each theme. Link your descriptions to observations about specific articles.
• Include a table of themes, with a description of the themes and observations from specific articles.
Summary (0.25 pages)
• What are your key take-aways from the literature synthesis?
Do not restate these questions; do not answer them as individual questions in a disconnected manner; these are aspects for you to consider in developing a cohesive write-up.

Theme.
In your domain, what did you find? Give examples
Mention different themes and explain why they are relevant to the research. Few themes are better in other not to overwhelm yourself.
Connect the themes to how other people (articles) have done it
If possible, use a table to effectively map out the themes and their links

Takeaway.
Mentions what’s known and unknown. Keep it simple

Response document.
Summary then tabulate it
