For this assignment, you will complete a 1-page (single-spaced) or 2-page (double-spaced) concept paper plus a 1-page annotated bibliography. Describe the problem from a policy perspective and what the implications are for public health. (50 points)

The concept paper should include the following:

Description of the problem, public health implication, describe the policy action
Complete a 1-page annotated bibliography with maximum of 7 references. The annotated bibliography will be evaluated on the relevance of the selected articles and authors on the subject, the quality of the articles, and the breadth of coverage of the subject. Each reference should be annotated with a 2-3 sentence summary of the scope and relevance of the reference. References should be consistently cited, for which you may use any format for references currently in use by a major journal. Make a 1-page annotated bibliography with no more than 7 references. The relevance of the selected articles and authors on the issue, the quality of the articles, and the depth of coverage of the subject will be used to evaluate the annotated bibliography. Each reference should be annotated with a 2-3 phrase explanation of the reference’s scope and relevance. References should be mentioned consistently, and you may use any reference format currently in use by a major publication.
Please choose one of these topics or another topic that is of public health relevance and related to the health care system.
Should all businesses be required to provide health insurance to their employees?
Should health plans reward (i.e. lower monthly premiums) individuals for maintaining good health (by benchmarks such as BMI, cholesterol level, blood pressure, exercise habits, etc.)? How is this different from charging higher premiums based on health status?
Should religiously affiliated institutions (for example catholic universities or hospitals) be required to include free contraception as a benefit on their employee health insurance plans?
Should we encourage retail clinics, that is, primary care and other health care services, in grocery stores and other retail outlets?
Should state and local governments, companies or private individuals be allowed to purchase pharmaceutical drugs from other countries?
Should government guarantee access to free or subsidized health care services for anyone in the U.S.? What criteria (age, income, disability status, etc.) should be used and should policies be the same between adults and children?
