DQ 2

Hello Instructor Morris and Class,

“Generalist practitioners view people and systems from a strength perspective in order to recognize, support, and build upon the innate capabilities of all human beings. They engage, assess, broker services, advocate, counsel, educate, and organize with and on behalf of individuals, families, and collection of people.”(What is generalist social work practice?) Using this definition will allow the social work to see what is going on with the individuals they are trying to Help. This will give a great sense of direction on resources and tools needed to be productive. “Sometime, understanding is all that is needed to resolve a situation.”(Applying theory to generalist social work practice) So not only using this theory a social worker may use their own intuition. The CSWE core competencies and behaviors address the need for understanding engage with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Knowing the background and environment can also help the social worker me more productive. The more facts the better one can understand and seeing where they live and the surroundings gives more insight.
