number of presentations each week
By week 2 of the term, students will select a HRM topic from weeks 4 – 11 inclusive. If the number of presentations each week exceeds four, the Lecturer will re-allocate students to another week to ensure there is an even distribution. To successfully complete your presentation, the following is required: 1. Start gathering ideas for your HRM topic with a review of the relevant textbook chapter for the week including the references at the end of the chapter. 2. Research widely on your HRM topic, drawing on two (2) quality journal articles from the CQU library databases and quality business press publications such as Harvard Business Review. You are to critically analyse the chosen articles to identify a key theme for the current research on your HRM topic, rather than simply summarizing the articles. For example, from chapter 9, you may choose the current research on diversity management initiatives that address the changing nature of the workforce. Current research must be within the last five years, so publications should be dated from 2012 onwards. 3. Creatively design your presentation with the aim to engage your class on the current research on your HRM topic. Presentation is to be a maximum of eight (8) minutes with a maximum of six (6) PowerPoint slides.
At the start of your presentation, provide to the lecturer, a printed copy of the PowerPoint slides including a separate page for the references. Ensure that APA referencing style is used
