Assignment Title: Individual presentation: Culture and Organisational behaviour
TUTOR INSTRUCTIONS
• PLEASE PREPARE A DYNAMIC 50 MINS PRESENTATION TUTORIAL TO GUIDE STUDENTS ON THIS ASSIGNMENT USING RELEVANT CULTURAL FRAMEWORKS TO assist STUDENTS

• (e.g. TROMPENAARS Cultural dimensions, Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck: Values Orientation Theory, Hofstede, Hall to demonstrate use of frameworks etc).
There should be three diagrams to provide guidance on the theoretical frameworks application into practice to provide clear examples of the task requirements.
Description of the student’s assignment, task, content and structure:
You are required to create a 10-12 minutes PowerPoint presentation on culture and organisational behaviour. You should underpin your discussion on slides with a variety of academic and business sources. Critically discuss the following points:
1. Analyse the concept of culture and its relevance to issues of management and organisational behaviour. How does culture influence management and organisational behaviour?
2. Discuss the key issues influencing cultural difference, and how this may affect leadership and motivation, communications and negotiating, decision-making and organisational relationships.
3. Examine techniques for managing cross-cultural teams for high performance. Are they different to managing a team with single cultural origins?
Specific instructions:
The Grading Criteria (rubric) will evidence how marks are awarded for individual parts of
the assignment i.e. Presentation and Structure, Intellectual Curiosity and Referencing, Content, Analysis, Discussion
• Make sure that you justify and explain your argument clearly.
• Use appropriate theories and tools to produce an in-depth argument.
• Use a variety of credible sources to support your argument (text books, journal articles, credible newspapers, statistical and industry data from credible sources). These should be listed in Harvard format as references on named Reference slide.
• The length of each presentation must not be less than 9 minutes or more than 13 minutes
• The number of slides can vary but should not exceed 12 (excluding references and title page). You will be assessed based on the quality of your slides, the content and your presentation delivery skills.
• Each slide should contain a recording of your presentation (use PowerPoint recording option: Insert > Audio > Record Audio). Try not to read your slides, but rather use these to support your recorded presentation.
• Any late submission will have the standard penalty applied.
• All submissions must be in PowerPoints format.
• The submission can be made through the link in the assignment tab.
• Students are required to include their student ID in the first slide of their presentation.
• Students are asked to allow enough time for uploading their work before the deadline.

• You are NOT allowed to copy any information into your assignment without using quotation marks and a reference – this is ‘plagiarism’ (a type of academic misconduct).
• You are NOT allowed to copy from other students (or allow other students to copy from you) – this is ‘collusion’.

• You must NEVER buy assignments from websites (essay mills) – this is called ‘contract cheating’ and it is now illegal in the UK.
• If you commit academic misconduct, your mark will be reduced, and you will face disciplinary action for repeat offences.
