Discuss similarities and differences in ways through which men could become powerful in all of the societies in Unit Two.
Find one example of how men became powerful in EACH of the following cultures (Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Japanese, Byzantines, and Western Europeans). Explain how the examples you chose helped you understand cultural expectations for men to be worthy of leadership roles in the past. In your conclusion, include some statements about your assessment of how people in past societies determined whether or not someone should have a position of power in comparison to our expectations of leaders in society today.
