The Future of Christian Higher Education Part I Purpose: The purpose of this forum is to discuss the particular nature of Christian higher education and consider its future. This forum and the next forum are both a space to explore with your classmates how you think the Christian faith and universities should interact. Initial Thread: Choose one of the following readings from the Module/Week 6 Learning Resources: "Preserving Distinctively Christian Higher Education" by Sloan, "The Role of Professional Education in Christian Higher Education" by Dockery, or "The Future of Christian Higher Education" by Dockery. Briefly summarize it and then present at least one follow-up question for your classmates. Your follow-up questions should be future-driven. For example, you might ask something along the lines of how your classmates see an author’s conclusion being implemented or you may ask for critique about how well a particular projection will continue to match or not match the situation in higher education. Replies: Respond to two of your classmates' questions with specific details drawing on your own experience in higher education and your thoughts about its future. Parameters: Your initial thread should be 250-300 words and employ informal academic language. You should reply to at least two classmates' threads with each reply being 150-200 words.
