From the point of view of a Registered Nurse, the development of genetic engineering and clinical sequencing of genomic medicine changed the ethical value of evidence-based research in all medical studies and innovations. Genomic medicine is slowly easing the financial and economic burden of treating complications like cancer gene panels and stopping the rising costs of common oncology “trial and error” processes (Horton & Lucassen, 2019). The process and the human data resources that come with it give the medicine a strong legal and social foundation. With a less expensive genomic drug, the new genetic drug will help the U.S. health care system reach out to people with less money.
