Organizations face significant challenge in creating a good relationship with customers and developing an effective communication system. Technology advancement has Helped most companies, integrated communication systems, new business processes, and operations that have enhanced e-commerce and improved overall performance (Lin, Wang, and Hajli, 2019). For instance, the case of Ducati motorcycle delears company redesigned new business operations.
Ducati focused on reducing the cost of business operations, enhancing sales processes, and improving the customer’s experience. To enhance sales operations, Ducati established a sales network with an iPad, which has developed consumer experience. The sales network has been user-friendly, where consumers can work swiftly with the iPad. Additionally, Ducati improved communication networks between the company and clients and employees by developing a customized application, known as the Ducati Communication System (DCS) (Dehgani, and Navimipour, 2019).
The application has improved user experience, where clients can easily access products, receive, and send information easily. The system has improved the business’s overall operation, making it easy to receive orders, communicate with the client about taste and preference, and deliver products (Dong, and Yang, 2020). The DCS is an enterprise resource application that has Helped in managing business functions. For instance, tracking orders from consumers, moving products, and distribution. The DCS has enabled Ducati to store all valuable data in a single database, making it easier to access and manage big data from different parts of the world. Also, using a single database has enabled Ducati to analyze, organize, and form various reports from the data, such as audit reports.
The DCS has enhanced Ducati’s various business areas, for instance, human resource, customer management, supply chain, inventory, and business intelligence. Additionally, the DCS has helped Ducati save more money because its cost is compared to the past (Dehgani, and Navimipour, 2019).. Nevertheless, the unifying the systems together, such as using a single database, has enabled the organization to save on the cost of extra storage and management of systems. On the other hand, The enterprise resource planning systems have enhanced collaboration from different departments because al information is merged up in a single database. Ducati communication systems have improved productivity due to the enhancement of consumer experience, attracting more customers.
Centralization of systems in Ducati has made it easier for employees to work, hence reducing human error. Moreso, the systems have improved analytics ad reporting systems in Ducati. Data analytic and reporting have been promoted to access data and required information quickly and faste (Dong, and Yang, 2020). For instance, employees are now able to make reports and audit faster. The Ducati communication system has made clients happy because Ducati dealers efficiently respond to customers’ orders, enhance good relationships with customers, and execute their objectives. The system serves five-thousand five hundred customers users worldwide and in eighty-eight countries across the world through a single system. The ability to reach people locally and globally has promoted growth, expanded the business, and responded to consumer demands worldwide.
Reaching people locally and across the globe has been promoted by integrating DCS, which has promoted E-commerce. Electronic devices, such as the Apple phone and iPad, have enhanced marketing and easy interaction between dealers and consumers (Dong, and Yang, 2020). Through the devices, consumers can make orders and choose a motorcycle of their choice without physical presence. The electronic devices have been a game-changer, where Ducati has shifted to an e-commerce business.
The usability of the electronic system has led to the business’s growth, where the devices are used to market, sell, and conduct transactions (Pasala, and Dsouza, 2019). The web-based application has also enhanced the business-consumer relationship where it is easy to monitor and know consumers’ intentions. Having the DCS application on the iPhone has promoted business continuity from everywhere in all situations. For instance, in case of a crisis, Ducati motorcycle dealers can still operate from any location through the internet.
Notably, the DCS as an enterprise resource planning system is built with security compliance and regulations. Ducati can be able to overcome security threats through risk management tools. The risk management tools develop consumer trust, reliability of the services, and accuracy. The DCS also consists of in-built auditing tools that promote business activities such as reporting and generation of business documents (Pasala, and Dsouza, 2019). Apart from managing risk, DCS, IPad, and iPhone have enhanced resource management, production planning, and improved inventory planning in the business.
Developing a Ducati communication system is the best decision made by the company. The web-based network system has improved consumer experience, reduced operational cost, and led to business growth. With the implementation of functional business systems, the organization can overcome marketing challenges, management of data, and time consumption, especially in creating inventories, reports, and audits (Lin, Wang, and Hajli, 2019). The new Ducati communication systems have solved all business operational challenges. Lastly, the organization is safe from cybercrimes, although more awareness and security strategies are required to maintain safety and respond to security issues in case of an attack.
