ETHICS CODE
The design approach depicts the first element as divergence whereby the possibilities and constraints of the current situations are explored by the use of critical thinking. They then helps them to get a new understanding of the problem at hand and hence they are able to create better solutions of the problem. The second element is convergence whereby possible environments for better solutions and gradually improve the current situation. Lastly, there is an element of transformation whereby the inherent situations are redefined in a way that they lead to better guidelines and results hence ceasing the problem all the same. An ethical problem has to be solved by a framework that begins with identifying the problem and all the facts around the problem. In line with this the affected parties are also brought to light along with the ethical issues involved. Additionally the fundamental principles affected are also stated so as to cover the whole scope of identifying the problem.
The second step is reviewing the organization’s internal procedures so as to see its effectiveness towards solving the problem. The third step is Assessment of an additional or alternative course of action just in case the organization’s one is not enough. The last step is implementation of the solution and monitoring its progress through documentation and follow up procedures. Time is a very essential element to look out for when resolving ethical issues since it will determine the efficiency of the solution. The process should be consent with the time in order to deliver. Ethical issues are very versatile and situations change every minute hence it is very important to apply multiple solutions at once.
Proactive preventive approach entails that the problems are eliminated before they even get a chance to appear. This means that measures are kept in place to obscure the problem hence the problem will never come into place. The approach pushes us to put in measures early enough such that there will be no possibility of the problem coming into place. Culture and structure must be considered so as to incorporate the preventive measures in the system without interfering with their operations. Administrators face many conflicts ranging from interpersonal conflicts, responsibility conflicts, intragroup conflicts and territorial conflicts. A good ethical solution should be timely in that its solution will be effective. The solution should also be preventive in that not only will it cease the problem but prevent it from happening again. The solution should be compatible with the organizations culture and structure. Lastly the solution should be realistic in that the people will be able to adapt in it. An administrator is objectively responsible to his employees since he is their administrator. He should ensure that they are delivering in the right manner and they are following the code of ethics.
The first level of ethical response is societal issues which deals with issues in our communities that need to be considered in an organization. The second level is the stakeholder issues whereby anyone affected by the company’s issues is taken into consideration. Another level is the internal issue is the internal policy issue and lastly is the personal issue. The most effective is the internal policy issue while dealing with an organization. Ethical identity has three components which include moral sensitivity, moral judgment and moral motivation. Threats to ethical culture can be counterbalanced by establishing a strong foundation and keeping a value focus. Corruption can be tackled through punishment and establishing strict policies to avoid such situations both in the individual and organization. The organization can deal with tyranny through policy making and forming organizations to vouch for them. Self-serving behavior can be solved by retreats and training to cease this behavior. Professional values are informed by the public means that they understand them and help in observing them. Collaboration enhances performance since it avoids a lot of wrangles and conflicts and focuses on the goals.
