Henry Demone:
Henry was born
in High Liners home city, Lunenburg, NS, in 1954. A mathematician by educational
coaching, Henry joined the Firm (then Nationwide Sea Merchandise), in 1977, quickly
taking on administration of worldwide gross sales. In 1980, he left Nationwide Sea to
function Managing Director of a French subsidiary of Franz Witte AB, a Swedish
meals firm and division of Volvo. Returning to Nationwide Sea in 1984 as Vice
President, Worldwide, Henry was appointed President and Chief Working
Officer of the Firm in 1989. On the Firm’s Annual Assembly in 1992, he was
appointed President and Chief Government Officer. Henry has charted High Liner
by means of a decade of fast change. From its roots as a fishing firm, Henry
has lead the transformation of the Firm to a meals processor and marketer of
prime quality seafood and frozen pasta. He’s a member and former Chairman of
the Atlantic Canada Chapter of the Younger Presidents’ Group, and is a
director of Dover Industries Restricted and the Meals and Client Merchandise
Producers of Canada.
