4. Investigate legal and ethical challenges faced by global organisations in determining sustainable talent management strategies
There are several legal and ethical challenges that global organizations may face when determining sustainable talent management strategies. These challenges can vary depending on the specific laws and regulations of the countries in which the organization operates, as well as the values and culture of the organization itself. Some of the key challenges that global organizations may encounter when developing sustainable talent management strategies include:
Diversity and inclusion: Ensuring that talent management strategies are inclusive and do not discriminate against certain groups of employees can be a legal and ethical challenge for global organizations. This may involve complying with anti-discrimination laws and implementing policies and practices that promote diversity and inclusivity.
Employee rights: Global organizations must also consider the rights of their employees when developing talent management strategies. This includes ensuring that employees are treated fairly and with respect, and that they are not subjected to harassment or discrimination.
Retention and engagement: Maintaining employee engagement and retention can be a challenge for global organizations, particularly if they have a diverse and dispersed workforce. Organizations may need to implement strategies such as training and development programs, flexible work arrangements, and employee recognition programs to help retain and engage their talent.
Talent development: Developing the talent of employees can be a legal and ethical challenge for global organizations, as they must ensure that they are investing in the development of their employees in a fair and equitable manner. This may involve providing equal opportunities for training and development to all employees, regardless of their location or other factors.
Developing sustainable talent management strategies that are legal, ethical, and effective can be a complex challenge for global organizations. It requires careful consideration of a wide range of factors, including diversity and inclusion, employee rights, retention and engagement, and talent development.
