Impacts of Technology in Relationships
One of the major technological advances in the modern world is the
development of social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, telegram, and many others. It is also important to note that
more social media platforms are coming up as technology evolves. However,
these social media platforms are associated with addiction, anxiety, and even
depression. This paper will address the impacts of technology on my
relationship.
Technology has severely affected our physical interaction with friends,
family, and colleagues. For instance, it has been very difficult to concentrate
on a physical conversation in a family meeting or meeting friends due to the
anxiety of getting social media notifications and replying to them. When a
person posts a picture of themselves on social media, the responses from
strangers, on such as occasion, would constantly check for these likes,
comments, and replies. Little do we know that by doing so, we are only
getting a short-lived excitement due to the dopamine rush.
Technology has limited our constructive physical bonding, making us
lonely and depressed. When we rely on social media for happiness, we
develop poor physical interactive skills and create social isolation and
breakage of social ties with friends and families. Social media, therefore,
builds weak relationships. For instance, when a fellow is trying to
communicate a point while we are busy on phones, it shows disinterest, and
they easily get irritated, making it difficult to engage in a constructive
discussion.
Conclusion
The world is evolving, and technology is evolving. Despite making it
easier to interact with people far away from oneself, technology has negative
effects comparable to the effects of alcohol, smoking, and gambling addiction.
These effects are also associated with an early introduction to the use of
technology.

BM Reponse to student adt-250 words
Under two years ago I was very active on my social media on the common platforms,
SnapChat, Facebook, and Instagram. The relationships I have developed were mostly
superficial and not realizing that at the time I often found myself not feeling truly
understood or taken seriously, at my own fault. The people I only knew through these
apps were taking up so much of my time that my personal relationships I had with
people sitting right across from me suffered. Some time after, I decided to be more
present with people who knew me personally by limiting my time on Instagram and
removing SnapChat and Facebook from my phone. In the beginning it was annoying
when people would use their phone while talking with me. I just accepted that some
people are not ready to reduce their time on their cell phones. Today my relationships
with my parents, siblings, and close friends are stronger than they were two years ago.
Not to mention the extra free time I had to do things and meet new people in person.

COVID-19 has broadened the knowledge and public interest in vaccines. Some people
fully support and advocate for vaccination whereas others express strong opposition.
Some people are neutral on the topic. Use this forum as an opportunity to discuss your
viewpoint on vaccines. Keep in mind what you have learned about public and population
health, access to health care services, lifestyle choices and wellness. This forum is not
about convincing one another to agree or disagree; rather, it is an opportunity to share or
discuss an important health situation that affects people worldwide.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current structure of the society my stance on
the COVID-19 vaccine I would describe as being neutral. If an individual has received
their vaccine shot(s), excellent. If an individual has not received their vaccine shot(s), still
excellent. I believe everyone has the right to their own opinion and decision on what they
wish to put into their body. I have family members that hold strong opinion and beliefs of
both sides and I respect both their sides. At the end of the day, I believe it is up to every
individual capable of making a conscious decision as to whether they wish to get the
vaccine or not.
To share my reasoning behind why I got the COVID-19 vaccine is based off of several
factors. First, I got the vaccine to protect the people that I come in contact with on a
regular basis. Whether that be family members, friends, co-workers, or to people that I
am interacting with for the first time. I felt as though if I got the vaccine, I was doing my
part to protect the people around me. Secondly, I received the COVID-19 vaccine
because I am someone that struggles with battling sickness when my immune system is
compromised. I am not labelled as someone that is “immuno-compromised” but based
off experience, I am someone that requires extra time during the recovery process of
healing from an infection or disease. Lastly, I based my decision off the history of
science and previous diseases prior to receiving my vaccine. From what researchers and
medical professionals say, it sounds as though COVID-19 is something that is going to
resemble the flu. It is something that is going to be around for a long time. So, I wanted
to ensure I was protected the best way possible, and if the vaccine is going to provide
the protein for my body to recognize what the disease is, then it will hopefully reduce the
impact that COVID-19 could have if it entered my body.
