Assessment Overview and Formatting Word Count: 1500 words total (for abstract, statistics part of method section, results section and discussion section). The maximum length of the write-up, excludes tables and graphs and references. You will be required to present the abstract, statistical analysis section of your methods, full results (with narrative) and a discussion section for jumps with and without arm swing. I have completed the introduction and methods section (up to the statistical analysis part) as well as data for analysis. Based on the introduction, methods and data analysed, PLEASE PROVIDE ME THE FOLLOWING: an appropriate study aim, statistical analysis part of methods section, results section, discussion section and references for the assigned area of biomechanics. A brief overview of the expected content is given below: – Abstract: Placed at the start of the paper and provides a summary of the study. Provide an introductory statement, 2-3 sentences summarising the method, 2-3 sentences of the major results and a concluding sentence. Write this section last. – Aim: a concise aim for the study, based on the introduction that is provided. – Statistical methods: a concise description of the statistical analyses performed. – Results: appropriately formatted results presented in table(s) and / or figure(s) with a supporting narrative. See papers from the Journal of Sports Sciences for example table and figure formatting. Ensure that the narrative concisely guides the reader through the results. – Discussion: based on your results presented, provide a discussion of those results considering the study aim. Be sure to include supporting literature to inform your interpretation of the results. – References: APA 7th edition for both in-text references and the reference list for each section. USE 16 REFERENCES. Writing style/structure This section is an assessment of your overall writing style and how you structure the piece. You MUST write this work in the third person (no: I, we, you, him, her, etc.). As the write-up is based on biomechanical principles you will need to gather research into this. You MUST NOT use websites that talk about these principles. Anyone can add a web page and fill it with nonsense! You are expected to use scientific articles. You can also have books that can be used. 18-20 references for this piece. The only time a web reference will be accepted is if you are accessing governing body data for the sport
