Logistics Assessment Criteria
Logistics Assessment is important to not only to assess performance, but to improve the planning process. One tool used is the Logistics Capability Assessment Tool (LCAT). From this guide, the LCAT purpose is for use by states to evaluate their current disaster logistics readiness, identify areas for targeted improvement, and develop a roadmap to both mitigate weaknesses and further enhance strengths. The tool has been developed from the perspective of state logisticians for their benefit (see the LCAT reading for additional information).
