Part 1: Please respond to all question below:
1. In both the Yukl (2012) and Benrendt et al. (2017) articles, a “hierarchical taxonomy of leadership behavior” is presented (Table 1 in both articles).
• What is your assessment of each category? Are these the right leadership behaviors to highlight, and why? Anything that you would add or eliminate? Why?
• What is the benefit of organizing/categorizing behaviors into a taxonomy such as this? What is the potential downside(s)?
• What 3-4 behaviors (not categories) do you feel are most directly linked to effective leadership? Give an example from your own personal experience.
2. Yukon’s (2013) chapter on Power and Influence Tactics discusses how people influence each other in organizations.
• How do you prefer to use power and influence (referencing Yukl 2013)?
• Give a personal example, or something you personally witnessed, of a power and influence approach that didn’t work. What was the situation and outcome? How would you have approached that situation differently? How do you like to use your power and influence (Yukl, 2013)?

Part 2: Do your own research (or use an example from your own personal experience) and find a “Leadership Behavior” assessment. Include the assessment, or a link to the assessment in your post. How does this assessment compare to the taxonomies your read about? Would you consider the assessment a valid assessment? Why or why not?
