Pantheism’s Popularity
The views of the new age beliefs are appealing to some people in the world while the views do not resonate with others. One of the reasons why the views may be appealing is the fact that people want to accept others as they are. For instance, communities are embracing gays, lesbians, and homosexuals in the name of observing their rights. Companies and civil activists are encouraging society to observe gay rights. Organizations are compelled to avoid discrimination based on the sexual orientation of people. Embracing diverse views is evident due to the issue of relative truth. Whereas the bible states that marriage is for a woman and a man, other people believe same-sex marriages are still legal and acceptable. Another reason is that the views seem to establish harmony. Ensuring everyone follows what is written in the bible as the truth could lead to bloodshed. Allowing people to stay in their comfort zones is more peaceful.
One of the reasons why society should not embrace popular views is that they will attract judgment in society. Society will attract judgment from the divine being who encourages people to obey his commands about the world. For instance, when people insist on relative truth, they are setting themselves up for judgment and destruction. The generations to come may escalate the compromise on sexuality, belief in God, and morals in society. The compromise may undermine the fabric of society and lead to ultimate destruction. Establishing laws that should be followed about marriage, money, love, and social interactions is healthy for the community. Living according to personal desires without obeying certain prescribed laws will lead to destruction.
