What did you learn about yourself?
I learned some great things in this class. But what I learned about myself that with hard work I can accomplish and get things done. when this class started, I looked at all the assignments, exams, and discussions I got fears. Because I have not done school in 20 plus years I was lost and didn’t think I could do it. And I was telling myself if this class is hard what am going to do with hard classes. By the end of the first week, my fears went away, and everything seem easy.

What stressors and or “hassles” do you recognize in your life?
When I started doing wood working and carpentry, it was a competitive job. Workers were intimidated that I might take their job so they were afraid to teach its’s the nature of the trade. I was going through 2-3 jobs a year for the first 6 years. After I realized every time when I go to a new company im learning a few new things or new techniques from seeing or preforming. just when I was starting to get stable I started moving around company to company just to learn new things. 12 years later being in the trade, I worked my way to advance level, now I have 20 years’ experience.

What measures can you take in order to lower your stress and optimize your health and well being?
The measures I take is I play video games sometimes, running, swimming 1 once or twice a week, I like to spend time with my kids and built them things so they can have fun at the stage of life this what helps me.

Productive Student Discussion Post
How will this enable you to become a more productive student?
Hard work is a personality I have acquired over time. I believe this is a silver bullet to becoming a productive student. When I focus on my assignments I ensure I complete them within the timelines given. I work hard to research and revise for my exams. The hard work spirit is vital for achieving more in my school work (Gray-Roncal et al., 2018).
The experience I have gained in the corporate world is vital in helping me to become more productive. I have been working in different companies and I have realized that an inquisitive mindset is vital for achieving success. I am curious to learn about different aspects of the coursework. During my 20 years experience in the industry, I have learned that success does not come easy. I have to work hard and put my best foot forward even when things are not looking good. For instance, in the first week, I realized that I need to overcome the perception that things are tough in this class. Changing mindset is critical in overcoming barriers and crossing over to success (Gray-Roncal et al., 2018).
The measures I will take to lower my stress and optimize my health are critical in enhancing my success. I take some time off to swim, run, ride the bike, and spend time with the children. I learned during my time as an employee that balancing work and life is vital for job success (Coon et al., 2020). To avoid burnout and fatigue during my study I will strive to go for swimming to relax, run to maintain body fitness, and spend time with children as part of giving back to society. The combination is a recipe for academic success.
