Submit the second part of your research proposal including the following sections in 2 to 3 pages:
Sampling and Sampling Method (1–2 paragraphs)
Data Collection (1 paragraph)
Ethics and Cultural Considerations (1–2 paragraphs)
What ethical and/or cultural issues need to be considered? How will you address those issues in your study?
Discussion (1 paragraph)
If you were to conduct the study, what would you expect the results to show? What would you do if the data didn’t align with your expectations?
Reflection (1 paragraph)
What did you learn about research through this process?
Sampling and Sampling Method:
In order to conduct a representative study, a suitable sample size and method must be determined. For this research proposal, a sample size of 500 participants will be taken using a convenience sampling method. This method is chosen because it is easy to implement and cost-effective. However, this method may result in a biased sample if not executed properly. To reduce bias, participants will be selected from a diverse demographic to reflect the population being studied.
Data Collection:
Data will be collected through an online survey. The survey will consist of multiple-choice and open-ended questions related to the research question. The online survey platform will be chosen based on its security, privacy, and reliability. Participants will be recruited through social media, email, and other online platforms. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Ethics and Cultural Considerations:
In order to ensure the protection of participants’ privacy and rights, informed consent will be obtained from each participant before starting the survey. The informed consent form will inform participants of their rights and the purpose of the study. The data collected will be kept confidential and anonymous. Additionally, care will be taken to avoid any potential harm to the participants during the data collection process.
Discussion:
Based on the research question, it is expected that the results will show a significant relationship between technology use and mental health. However, if the data does not align with the expectations, the results will still be analyzed and interpreted objectively. Further research may be required to fully understand the relationship between technology use and mental health.
Reflection:
Through this process, I have learned the importance of considering various aspects when conducting research, including the ethical and cultural considerations. I have also gained a deeper understanding of the various methods of data collection and their strengths and limitations. This experience has enhanced my critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which will be useful in future research endeavors.
