Stakeholder perspectives
The Evan Stubbs’ stakeholder perspective that is going to be used in this case is personal. The company in question is family based; therefore, I believe that some of the family business values include integrity, stewardship, mutual respect, collaboration, thoroughness, emphasis on quality, family atmosphere, and hard work. According to (Stubbs, 2014), the beliefs and values of a family business begin with the founder, reflecting his/her behaviors as the family entrepreneur and leader. Since one of the attendees is the semi-retired founder of the company, I predict that for him, it is all about relationships, trust, and collaboration. Also, I believe that most of this stakeholder’s concerns will lean more towards the role of the initiative in promoting the values of the company. For this reason, I will focus on several key points that will address any concerns he may have.
To begin with, I will put emphasis on the fact that the new customer initiative will enhance collaboration among employees. As such, the initiative will bring the members of the team together to accomplish a common goal. This is because the success of the initiative is dependent on their abilities to cooperate to complete several tasks. Secondly, I will reiterate the importance of the initiative in building good relationships between team members. By working together, the employees will be able to spend more time together, and in the process, develop good relationships. Lastly, I will put emphasis on the fact that the initiative will serve to enhance trust in the company. As such, I will articulate to the stakeholder that the new customer initiative will be of high quality, and this will serve to improve customer trust and build brand loyalty in the long run.
