Studying Criminal Justice
Pursing a degree in criminal justice comes from the feeling of wanting to make a different in the community. I feel that the criminal justice system drives the motive to maintain law and order in the society through integration of the prison system and law enforcement systems. Studying criminal justice will expose me to the laws and legislation that impact individuals in terms of delineating what society accept and what it will not accept. Pursing criminal justice highlights how important my role is in the field towards helping other through law enforcement and the court system. In practicing, I will offer protection to people from criminal activity, help crime victims and ensuring justice to all individuals in the society.
Studying criminal justice will bring me to face different challenges, as the skills required are not easily gained. Criminal justice in my opinion will demand for strong problem-solving skills and the ability think and react fast in the field. Criminal justice will raise the level of my personal skills to face situations that are often intellectually demanding and involving high stakes. I feel studying criminal justice will help me in cleaning up the society through increasing my knowledge in law which is critical in making the right judgement. Criminal justice will equip me with understanding on the different roles of professionals within the judicial system that I will interact with in the criminal justice field. More understanding in criminal justice will influence what career will major in within the criminal justice field between; police officers, corrections, fire investigators and customs officials. Studying criminal justice will be essential in gaining education and knowledge that is required in thriving within the criminal justice careers.
