Unit 6 Discussion 1: The Project’s Stakeholders’ Groups
First, the project will have primary stakeholders who will be the individuals or groups that will be directly affected by the efforts and actions of this project (Rabinowitz, 2021). A project focusing on reducing obesity levels among children from low-income families would indicate its primary stakeholders as these identified children, their families, and support systems. The second group comprises the secondary stakeholders, who are the individuals or groups affected indirectly by the efforts or actions of the project (Rabinowitz, 2021). In this case, the project team, especially health professionals, social workers, and the media highlighting the project, would make up the secondary stakeholders. Another group to consider here would be the key stakeholders who could belong to the primary or secondary stakeholder groups (Rabinowitz, 2021). These stakeholders will either have a positive or negative effect on the efforts or actions fundamental to this. This project includes funders, government officials, and important community figures with a considerable amount of influence.
Support from all these stakeholder groups is fundamental as they provide the resources, knowledge, skill, and expertise required to succeed in the project. The support from primary stakeholders is essential as the implementation of the project is focused on meeting their requirements. Understanding these needs would be an indispensable guide for the project’s execution; hence a good relationship is required. The secondary and key stakeholders’ support is necessary since their efforts will determine this project’s reputation and outcome. To this effect, the strategy to garner their support will primarily follow the stakeholder management approach, which comprises five steps. First, the project team will understand the status of each stakeholder; decisions are made on what each stakeholder is to provide, develop the key messages that are to be communicated to each stakeholder, and identify the communication approach to each stakeholder. The communication approach preferred here will entail keeping the stakeholder informed, satisfied, and closely monitored throughout the entire time.
The State Health Department will be the project’s primary stakeholder to host this program to address obesity among children from low-income families. This department will be providing the resources in terms of statistics of these children, funds, and connections to other community groups that will aid in communicating and propel the project forward.

Unit 6 Discussion 2: Securing Funding
Corporate sponsorships will be an essential source of funds for the project, considering that numerous companies are open to partnering with philanthropic efforts (Ibrisevic, 2020). As corporate work to become more socially responsible organizations, this project should help them build this image. Hence, the team Poland will send out proposals to the different organizations that believe in the primary goal. The second funding source will be granted from the state government, private and public foundations (Ibrisevic, 2020). The primary focus is to identify the grants seeking to promote health within the community and apply for them as per the requirements. Considering the project aims to address a prevalent challenge, identifying the respective grants and using them will not be challenging.
In applying for the corporate sponsorships, the proposals sent out will identify how these corporations will be recognized in terms of being acknowledged in the different media events and platforms, placing their brand logos in the right places (Ibrisevic, 2020). This recognition should be done in creative ways while considering the project’s objective so that the company could identify the value given out and coming back. Also, the proposal will determine the measurable outcomes expected concerning the project’s goals and the traffic towards its company. The cost-benefit analysis will identify the current costs of the projects in tandem with the benefits these sponsoring companies are to obtain. These include the direct project deliverable, recognition, and network, and Connection benefits.
In applying for grants, the project’s proposal will provide a description of the community’s problem to be handled by the project, identify the gap in the society, which is primarily that fact that it is a prevailing problem that other organizations are also addressing, the present project’s objectives, the respective risks, and limitations, its timeline, how the project will be adapted and expanded to meet the increasing needs, the communication approach and volunteer opportunities. The cost-benefit analysis for the grants will identify the current project costs, the outcomes that could come from funding and non-funding of the project, and the benefits of the project towards the primary stakeholders and well-being of the society at large.
