What does Socrates think is virtuous living? What elements constitute virtuous living?
Because of the increasing adoption of evidence-based practice, continuous knowledge acquisition is required in the field of nursing (Al-Busaidi et al., 2019). The goal of evidence practice is to improve collaboration between clinicians and medical researchers. Notably, clinicians are analogous to artists, whereas medical researchers are fundamentally scientists. Scientists conduct research that leads to discoveries, and clinicians memorize the findings. As a result, those working in clinical settings must constantly learn from research findings in order to achieve maximum effectiveness. The benefit of seeking knowledge is that it keeps me up to date on changes and discoveries in the healthcare industry. The advantage of being knowledgeable as a leader is being able to use evidence to guide nurses on the best practices to adopt in today’s dynamic healthcare market. When nurses recognize that their managers and leaders are skilled at increasing labor effectiveness, they become more willing to orchestrate change and collaborate with leadership.
Communication is essential in the nursing profession because information sharing determines how well medical practitioners collaborate in treating and saving patients’ lives. In contrast to the past, when paperwork and verbal communication were the norms, the current healthcare industry embraces the digital transmission of data and directives (Rouleau et al., 2017). The transition indicates that medical practitioners must improve their ability to communicate using consistently innovative technologies. To implement information systems that lead to effective communication, it is necessary to understand data analytics and web language. To improve relationships with practitioners and clients’ experiences, nurse leaders/managers must go beyond learning biological-related concepts and gain expertise in information management. Because the primary role of nurses is to care for patients, compassion is non-negotiable (Dalvandi et al., 2019).
