1) Which philosopher did you find most convincing or who spoke to you most? Where did the others fall short or what did they lack? Be sure to mention things such as Plato’s imploring us to pursue wisdom along the model of Socrates, Aristotle on virtue, Epicurus on ataraxia (tranquility/freedom from distress), and Seneca on apatheia (freedom from the passions).
