World War II
The first paper will look at the American home front during World War II through the lens of propaganda posters. I would like you to first explore the Northwestern University World War II Digital Poster Collection, located within the hyperlink. After looking through these posters, you will select a poster from this collection write a short analysis about your selected primary source. In writing the response, please describe the imagery, content of the poster, the argument that is being made, and the potential target audience. In your conclusion, you should discuss the significance of this poster and what it might say about or reflect life within America during World War II. When writing your poster, you should cite information from the poster using a Chicago-style footnote citation. At the end of the paper, you should have a works cited page. This should be one-two pages in length before the works cited page and will be due on October 23.
