Introduction
This assignment will require students to write an analytical paper incorporating the learning material for Week 4 by applying the Tenants of the Federal Data Ethics Framework, the 5 Principles of Data Ethics, and utilize critical discourse analysis to analyze the movies Enemy of the State, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Miss Evers’ Boys. While you are watching the movies, focus on the ethical issues involved in the data collection methods, data use, storage, knowledge and informed consent of individuals involved.
Demonstrate the ability to critical thinking and apply the learning material in your assignment response.

Assignment Prompts
Utilizing critical discourse analysis for the movies Enemy of the State, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Miss Evers’ Boys, respond to the following prompts:
Discuss the importance of ethics in the collection, management and storage of data. Include a discussion on the (1) Nuremberg Code, (2) privacy and intrusion, and (3) the ethics issues involved in the collection and use of data from individuals without their knowledge and consent.
Compare and contrast the data ethics issues in the movies, Enemy of the State, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and the Miss Evers’ Boys and include a discussion on normative ethics. (Note: Do not provide a summary of the movies. Compare and contrast the ethics issues and discuss normative ethics relative to each movie.)
Discuss the “Data Ethics Tenets” of the “Federal Data Ethics Framework” by noting examples from each movie relative to each Tenet. (You will identify seven examples from the movie and explain how the Tenet is relative.). Explain how the actions in each movie were in alignment or in opposition to each Tenet.
Apply the “5 Principles of Data Ethics” and discuss whether each Principle was or was not present in Enemy of the State, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Miss Evers’ Boys. Elaborate in detail and provide an example. Discuss the “Federal Data Ethics Framework’s” “Data Ethics Tenets” by citing examples from each film that relate to each Tenet. (You will identify seven movie examples and explain how the Tenet is relative.) Explain how the behaviors in each film aligned with or contradicted each Tenet.
Apply the “5 Principles of Data Ethics” to Enemy of the State, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and Miss Evers’ Boys and discuss if each Principle was or was not present. Explain in detail and give an example.
Explain how the real-life data ethics issues in each film might be used as guides for ethical procedures involving privacy concerns, data collecting, use, and management in the twenty-first century.
Explain how the real-life data ethics issues in each movie, can serve as guides for ethical practices involved relative to privacy issues, collection, use and management of data in the twenty-first century.
